MEET THE SUPPLIERS: Annette Carone Civil Celebrant
Tell us how you got into the Perth wedding industry?
My journey to becoming a Celebrant began during a time when I was working in an office where redundancies were becoming common feature and the environment in the office became quite negative. Being a person who is always smiling and thrives in a fun and positive environment I knew I needed to find a way to spend my life doing something that I loved. I have always been a bit of a hopeless romantic and one day the thought to become a Celebrant just appeared in my head and I decided to follow it through instinct and intuition. That was almost 9 years ago now and I haven’t look back since. Becoming a Celebrant has been the most rewarding and fulfilling decision I have ever made in my life.
What was your favourite thing about working in the wedding industry
When I meet with my couples and start planning their Ceremony I constantly find myself saying “Ooo this is one of my favourite things!” There are so many. From the moments you have with the groom as they wait for their bride, to meeting the bride on her arrival and getting her prepared to walk down the aisle, personally written vows that express so much love, emotion and trust. The smiles, the love, the tears. All of the beautiful things that come with bringing loved ones together to celebrate the love and admiration between two people. It is beautiful to witness and even more beautiful to be a part of.
How would you describe what your business offers in your own words?
I am a young, fun and modern Civil Celebrant who also has 9 years of experience behind her. I have a natural ability to smile and create a fun, warm and loving atmosphere. I take pride in my work by getting to know my couples and creating a Ceremony that is as beautiful and unique as they are. I believe it is my role to deliver a ceremony that reflects my couples, it is not my show, but I am just to deliver their ceremony in way that reflect their wishes, hopes and dreams. I am professional and serious when the need is required but most of all I am real. I am honest, open minded and calm. I smile and laugh a lot and genuinely love everything about what I do. I feel absolutely privileged to be involved in such an intimate and important moment in people’s lives.
What is the one thing that your business is most proud of?
Being able to create a ceremony that reflects the personality, relationship and characters of my couple that results in a memorable day not only for them but for the guests as well, receiving feedback from couples that let me know I achieved this and how happy they are with the ceremony always makes me feel honoured and proud.
What is one piece of advice you would offer a bride to make their wedding day extra special?
Remember to breathe, relax and enjoy all of the moments along the way. As you are planning for the big day focus on each other, never lose site of the relationship you have and the reasons why you are marrying one another and when the day comes, enjoy absolutely everything and stay in the moment. The day will unfold beautifully and all of your efforts and hard work will be worth it, so try not to fret about what is coming just enjoy the special day with all of the loved ones you have chosen to share it with.
What is it about your product/service that sets you apart from your competition?
I take my role as a Celebrant seriously but have a lot of fun along the way. I love to laugh and help my couples relax and enjoy the moment. I want your Ceremony to be a true reflection of who you are as a couple, for the guests to be filled with warmth, love, laughter and sometimes even tears! I am genuinely excited and care for all of my couples and want their ceremony to be memorable. I work closely with my couples to ensure I create something that they want but that also exceeds their expectations.
